The buzz is getting louder! As Cincinnatians await the arrival of the Brood X cicadas in May, YPCincy.com, in conjunction with the fine folks at MidPoint Music Festival, are bringing a diverse grouping of four of Cincinnati's best local music acts to join in the cicada symphony, and to celebrate Cincinnati's recent #7 ranking in Esquire Magazine in its "Top 10 Cities that Rock" listing . Abiyah is representing the DJ/Electronic/Hip Hop/Rap supergenre with her song, "Rise", and is joined on the disc by The Walker Project, Jake Speed and the Freddies, and Buckra.

Kute Killas is the antithesis of oppressive mainstream standards of music imposed on unsuspecting victims of consumerism. By blending bombastic beats of industrial innuendo by John Van Eaton (KMFDM, NIN) with the hip-hop hypefied lyrical prowess of Abiyah, Kute Killas exploit the definition of song through communal energy and the synthesis of synergistic synchronicity. Stay tuned for "Refresh", the first single from Kute Killas, available in mid-May.
